What data do we collect?

innerAssist collects the following data:

Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, relationships & children, occupation etc.)

This information as well as any contacts you have with innerAssist and results of appointments and any written communication is recorded and kept confidential at all times.

 

I also process personal data pursuant to my legitimate interests in running my business such as invoices and receipts.

 

When you are a client of innerAssist I record all your treatment and details of your appointment so that I can plan your treatment correctly. In addition to the personal information above, I may also collect sensitive information regarding:

  • Medical conditions (if relevant)

  • Prescribed medication

  • Psychological history and current difficulties

  • Sexuality

  • Offences (including alleged offences)

  • Financial information

 

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide innerAssist with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for a service.

  • Voluntarily complete a contact form, a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

 

Our Company may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Other mental health providers

  • General practitioner

 

How will we use your data?

innerAssist collects your data so that I can:

  • Process your enquiries and manage your account.

  • Email you with information about services.

  • Make safe and effective clinical and therapeutic decisions. 

  • Ensure that the service I provide to you is responsive to your specific circumstances and needs. 

 

innerAssist will never share your data with any third party unless you have explicitly told me  that you would like me to, in order to help you get good support or healthcare.

 

I am required to have regular supervision with another professional therapist as part of my ongoing professional accreditation with the dutch cbt and family therapy associations. I never disclose any personally identifying information about my clients within supervision.

 

Legal exceptions to obtaining your consent 

There are some situations where I would be required to share your information with third parties, without your consent:

  1. If I believe that a child, elderly person, or disabled person is being abused, I may be required to file a report with the appropriate services.

  2. If I believe that a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another, I may be required to take protective actions.

  3. If the client threatens to harm himself/herself, I may be obligated to seek hospitalization for him/her or to contact family members or others who can help provide protection. These situations have rarely occurred in my practice. If a similar situation occurs, I will make every effort to fully discuss it with you before taking any action. 

In those instances, I will always follow local and national safeguarding policies.

 

How do we store your data?

I make best efforts to ensure the security of your data.

All personal information provided is stored in compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) rules. 

 

I keep printed or handwritten information about you to a minimum in order to protect your data. Electronic information is securely stored. My devices are all password protected, with strong passwords that are all different from each other, and which I change at suitable intervals.

Administrative and personal data is retained for seven years in compliance with professional regulations. Once this time period has expired, we will delete-destroy your data.

 

What are your data protection rights?

innerAssist would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request innerAssist for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that innerAssist correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request innerAssist to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that innerAssist erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that innerAssist restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to innerAssist’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that innerAssist transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
